Four Seasons Bora Bora – Arii Moana

Arii Moana is the formal dining option of the Four Seasons Hotel in Bora Bora. Amalgamating local Polynesian cuisine with a French flair, this was the perfect location to unwind after a long flight from the other side of the world. Located right by the lagoon, this tranquil restaurant is the epitome of dining al fresco.

A complimentary bite was offered. Lobster carpaccio on top of dill cream cheese. The lobster tasted great with the cream cheese, but the ratio was off. There was way too much cheese and overpowered the delicacy of the lobster.

Bora Bora- La Villa Mahana

Bora Bora is one of those places in the world where perfection truly does exist. A secluded island in the French Polynesia archipelago, it’s an unparalleled paradise that’s spectacularly stunning. The turquoise hue lagoon waters shimmer like emeralds, the sky crystal clear, and with an abundance of fauna and flora. Upon arrival, I had the hotel reserve a table at the famous local restaurant; La Villa Mahana.

The neat thing about staying in Bora Bora is that because it’s situated on an excluded island, the hotel provides transportation via boats to get to the main Bora Bora island. There, the restaurants will send taxis to pick up guests.

La Villa Mahana only has seven tables, so early reservations are a must! There are six tables in the main dining room and a private chef’s table upstairs. The decor was intriguing as if combining the best of fine dining with a laid back taverna vibe. Although the a la carte menu seemed inviting, everyone raves about the Epicurean Menu so we ultimately decided on that.
